Miami CB Malek Young On Duke QB: Goal Is To 'Get Him Out The Game'

The corner is taking heat for his controversial comments.

This weekend, the Miami Hurricanes will head to Durham, North Carolina for a game against the Duke Blue Devils.

The last time Miami played at Duke, the Hurricanes won on a controversial kick return for a touchdown.

Both teams have a very different look this time around, but that hasn't stopped the trash talk ahead of the game.

Miami corner Malek Young made a controversial statement to 247Sports when he said the team was going to try to knock Duke QB Daniel Jones 'out the game.'

“He loves to throw the ball,” cornerback Malek Young said. “He takes hits. He don’t like to slide and what we’re going to do is—the goal is to get him out the game. Get him out the game and it’s going to be a good game.”

Jones is a dual-threat quarterback, having run for at least 50 yards in five of this last ten games.

Miami and Duke kick off at 7 p.m. ET on Friday night.
