Miami senior George Brown, who transferred to the school back in 2016 after starting his career at LSU, has reportedly left the team. The Miami Herald was the first to report the news.
Brown reportedly left the team on Monday and was not part of the roster that was distributed to the media on Tuesday.
Brown didn’t spend much time on the field during his Miami career. He was forced to sit out an entire season after transferring and he suffered a knee injury that cost him his 2018 season. He played in three games during the 2017 campaign.
Brown was expected to compete for playing time in his final season. It’s unclear what exactly led to his decision to leave the program.

It’s unclear if Brown will look to play elsewhere for his final season of eligibility.
Brown was a class of 2015 player who picked LSU over dozens of other schools. He left the school after just one season.
Miami’s 2019 season kicks off in just a few weeks. The Hurricanes are taking on Florida a full week before most teams will start their seasons. The game is set for August 24.
