The competition isn't being scared off.

Michigan's quarterback room is going to be crowded with talented players next season.

The Wolverines received a commitment today from former 5-star quarterback recruit Shea Patterson, who's transferring from Ole Miss.

Joining Patterson in the QB room next year will be Brandon Peters and Dylan McCaffrey, the former played well and the latter was a touted recruit.

Another player expected to be in that room is Joe Milton, a four-star recruit in the 2018 class committed to the Wolverines. He has a message for the fans after today's news.

Milton, a 6-foot-5, 230-pound pro-style QB out of Florida, is ranked the No. 7 player at his position in the 2018 class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

Michigan opens its 2018 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Notre Dame.
