Is big news coming for Michigan's football program? It appears that way.

Reports from this afternoon say that Shea Patterson is going to be granted immediate eligibility for the 2018 season. The former five-star recruit is a transfer from Ole Miss.

Michigan, though, says that nothing official has been said. The Wolverines are staying quiet for now.

"We have no new information on the final decision from the NCAA," a Michigan spokesman said.

Michigan's Twitter account, however, is saying something different. Well - Wolverines fans think they're saying something different.

The following tweet from Michigan's official account has everyone thinking that it's a hint at the Patterson news.

Michigan fans are convinced this means Patterson is eligible and that the Wolverines know it.

Are they right? Maybe. The Patterson news is reportedly expected to be announced on Friday.

Patterson, a former starter at Ole Miss, is likely Michigan's QB1. The Wolverines could be a preseason top 10 team with him behind center.
