Another Michigan football star has announced that he'll be sitting out of the Wolverines' bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft.

Wolverines' star running back Karan Higdon joins a couple of his teammates who have decided to sit out of their Peach Bowl contest against Florida.

Higdon announced his decision on Instagram.

“After a thorough evaluation between my parents and the UM staff we have deemed that it is in my best interest to not play in the Peach bowl and to utilize this time to get prepared to pursue my dreams in the NFL,” Higdon wrote.

Higdon was one of the top running backs in the Big Ten this season, totaling 1,178 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Michigan will also be missing defensive end Rashan Gary and linebacker Devin Bush Jr.

The Wolverines and the Gators are set to kick off at noon on Saturday, Dec. 29. The game will be on ESPN.
