Michigan State had a 10-win season a year ago - which included big victories over Iowa, Penn State and Washington State in its bowl game, the Holiday Bowl. But the program made it pretty clear which win it was most proud of this week.
Michigan State's rings, which are typically meant to celebrate a bowl game victory or an otherwise successful season, include the score of the team's win over Michigan on the side.
They read "The BEST Start Here" - with the 14-10 score beneath. It's a solid troll job from a program that has won four of five against its in-state rival.
Sophomore cornerback Josiah Scott was the first to tweet a photo. It quickly made the rounds.
Ohio State may be Michigan's biggest rival, but the Wolverines haven't exactly been doing very well against Michigan State either. Michigan still leads the series in a landslide, but eight of the past 10 times the two schools have met, it's been Michigan State prevailing.
Perhaps that will change this year with Shea Patterson under center for the Wolveries. Or perhaps not.
The two schools will meet on October 20 in East Lansing this year.
