Michigan State vs. BYU preview:
Michigan State lost a close one to Indiana last week, 24-21 in overtime. The loss all but ends the Spartans' chances of making the college playoff, and probably ends their hopes of a conference title as well. Michigan State hasn't lost three games in a row since 2009, but a loss to BYU would end that streak.
BYU enters this game after a 55-53 win over Toledo last week. RB Jamaal Charles was an unstoppable force, running the ball 30 times for 286 yards and five touchdowns. He'll have a tougher time against a stout Michigan State defense though, which has allowed 3.1 yards per carry to backs this season.
This will be the first contest ever between these two teams.
Michigan State vs. BYU prediction:
I like Michigan State here. They'll be ready to go after two losses in a row, and I can't see them losing a third, especially with a home crowd cheering them on. Tyler O'Connor throws for three touchdowns on a sketchy BYU secondary.
