Michigan vs. Rutgers preview:

The Wolverines are undefeated on the season and are coming off of their biggest win of the season. Michigan beat No. 8 Wisconsin 14-7 in a tight contest between two great defenses.

Michigan (5-0) out gained the Badgers 349 yards to 159 yards, including a significant margin through the air (219-88). The Wolverines forced three turnovers, all interceptions thrown by freshman quarterback Alex Hornibrook. Michigan's margin of victory should have been higher, but kickers Kenny Allen and Ryan Tice combined to miss three field goals.

Rutgers (2-3) is struggling this year. The Scarlet Knights are coming off of a devastating 58-0 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes, just a week after giving Iowa all the Hawkeyes could handle in a close 14-7 loss. Ohio State out gained Rutgers 669 yards to 116 yards, including an unbelievable 327 yard margin on the ground.

Jim Harbaugh is in his second season as the Wolverines head coach. He took over in 2015 and took the team to a bowl in his first season, a 41-7 blow out victory over Florida. Harbaugh is 73-30 as the head coach of the Wolverines.

Chris Ash is in his first season as the head coach of the Scarlet Knights. Previously, Ash was the co-defensive coordinator of Ohio State.

Michigan and Rutgers have met twice in history, splitting the series.

Michigan vs. Rutgers prediction:

Michigan is head and shoulders above Rutgers as a program. Offensively and defensively, Michigan is better in every aspect of the game. Chris Ash is a great young coach, but he needs a few years at Rutgers to turn the program around.

The Wolverines will dominate from the opening whistle, and it won't be close.
