Miss State vs. Ole Miss preview:

What an interesting and highly unsuccessful season for the Bulldogs. After scoring one of the biggest upsets of the season in a win over then No. 4 Texas A&M, Mississippi State was annihilated by the Crimson Tide the following week. Last weekend the Bulldogs gave up 58 points to Arkansas en route to a game that featured 100 total points.

What could have been for Ole Miss. The Rebels nearly upset Alabama early in the season which would have made for a completely different college football season. Instead, Ole Miss lost and thus its season was never to be the same. Now, after a shocking loss to Vanderbilt, the Rebels are in danger of missing out on a bowl game.

The Bulldogs and Rebels have played 112 times in history, with the Rebels holding a 63-43-6 advantage.

Miss State vs. Ole Miss prediction:

Take the over in this one. Expect both teams to play very little defense and for the offenses to explode. Both teams give up over 450 yards of offense per game, but both team also gain around 450 yards per game.

Ole Miss needs this one to become bowl eligible, and thus the advantage goes to them.
