The nation's No. 1 safety recruit took to Twitter on Tuesday night to announce where he'll be playing his college football. Daxton Hill, from Tulsa, Ok., announced he's heading to Michigan to play for Jim Harbaugh and company.
It's a huge get for the Wolverines. Hill is the No. 1 safety recruit in the country and the No. 12 recruit overall in the 2019 class.
His announcement was somewhat of a surprise. 247Sports' Crystal Ball Predictions had the star safety trending to Alabama, but Hill decided Ann Arbor was right for him.
He immediately becomes the school's top recruit, replacing 5-star defensive end Chris Hinton.
Here's the news from the man himself.
Oklahoma State was viewed as the early favorite in Hill's recruitment. However, once Nick Saban and company jumped in, the Tide was seen as the favorite entering Hill's decision tonight.
Hill announced a final six of Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.
