The star defensive lineman will not be playing today.

The Sun Bowl won't be featuring a potential top 10 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

N.C. State has officially announced that defensive lineman Bradley Chubb will not be playing in today's bowl game against Arizona State.

Chubb, a star defensive end, told Mark Armstrong of WTVD 11 that he made his decision to sit out the game a couple of weeks ago. Chubb has traveled to the game so he can be with his teammates.

N.C. State put out the following statement:

Chubb, a 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive lineman, is viewed as one of the top defensive prospects in the draft class.

N.C. State and Arizona State are set to kick off at 3 p.m. E.T. on CBS.
