NCAA Officially Approves 30-Second Shot Clock, 4-Foot Arc, Timeout Reductions For Next Season

Three proposed rule changes designed to promote more offense in NCAA games have officially been approved. Starting in 2015-16, the shot clock will be reduced from 35 to 30 seconds and the block charge arc will be moved out from three feet to four feet, where it is in the NBA. The game will also see a reduction in timeouts.

We're not sure if these new measures will have their intended impact, as teams will now be forced to execute their halfcourt offenses more efficiently. Still, it's worth at least giving it a shot.
