Report: NCAA President Would Prefer 8-Team College Football Playoff
NCAA President Mark Emmert has some thoughts about the College Football Playoff.
Mark Emmert offered his thoughts on the College Football Playoff at the Learfield Intercollegiate Athletics Forum in New York City on Wednesday.
According to Brett McMurphy of ESPN, the NCAA president would prefer and eight-team College Football Playoff so "all Power 5 conference champions are guaranteed a bid."

Emmert isn't the only one with this thought as many fans and members of the media have delivered their opinion that the CFB Playoff field should expand beyond four teams.
The biggest debate isn't necessarily if the field should expand - instead it is how many teams should be in the competition.
In the simplest of terms, a four-team Playoff doesn't make great sense seeing how there are five 'Power 5' conferences therefore one conference champion would always be left out.
