The Nebraska Cornhuskers ended the season 9-3. Let’s take a look at which bowl game the team is currently slotted for by most analysts.
Nebraska started the season with a perfect 7-0 mark. However, the Cornhuskers lost three of their final five games to finish the season at 9-3. An injury to starting quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. didn't help matters down the stretch. And neither did a brutal schedule playing three ranked teams in the final five games. Nebraska looks to rebound with a strong performance in a solid bowl game.
After a successful 2016 campaign marred by injury, the Cornhuskers will be playing in the Outback Bowl.
According to CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm, the best projection right now is that Nebraska would take on LSU.
LSU would likely be favored in such a matchup, but don't count out the Cornhuskers.
The Outback Bowl is set to take place on January 2. The game will be played in Tampa, FL.
