The Huskers are hosting a big recruiting visit this weekend.

It's a big recruiting weekend for Nebraska. The Huskers are hosting arguably their No. 1 recruiting target in Lincoln.

Maurice Washington, the MVP of the Under Armour All-American Game, is seriously considering committing to Nebraska. The Huskers have a chance to make a good final impression this weekend.

The four-star running back is on his way to Lincoln. He's making an official visit.

Washington is reportedly down to Nebraska and Arizona State. Deion Sanders, who coached Washington in high school in Texas, spoke to omaha.com about where things stand with his recruitment.

"He's everything — he's everything you want," Sanders said amid the noise of 2,000 news media members. "Offensively, he'd be up for the Heisman in a couple years. Defensively, he could go pro at corner or safety. You got to think about that. That's the decision he would have to make and the coaches would.

Sanders said he "loves" the Nebraska coaching staff, including head coach Scott Frost.

"I love what they're trying to accomplish at Nebraska and I love the influx of Florida kids they're bringing to Nebraska," Sanders said. Love the head coach. It's going to be interesting."

Washington is the No. 10 running back in the 2018 class. Current predictions have him landing with the Huskers...

National Signing Day is this Wednesday. A decision will come soon.
