Urban Meyer will soon be learning his fate as the head coach of the Ohio State football program. The Buckeyes' head coach has been on paid administrative leave since the beginning of August.

Ohio State's Board of Trustees is meeting this morning. The meeting began at 9 a.m. E.T. and quickly broke off into a private, executive session.

It's unclear when exactly an Urban Meyer decision will be announced, but it could happen at really any point moving forward.

To this point, it had not been officially announced who was actually going to make the final decision on Urban Meyer, whether it was President Michael Drake by himself or in some combination with the BOT.

Columbus Dispatch reporter Tim May tweeted this morning that he's heard it will be a combo.

"Interesting if true, an insider with ties to the Ohio State board of trustees tells me he's been told the board and Pres. Michael Drake will make the decision together on Urban Meyer, not Drake alone," he tweeted.

The decision, according to reports, is not expected to be a firing. The Columbus Dispatch reported earlier this week that the likely recommended punishment was a suspension, possibly with time served included.

"Two sources connected to the investigation said the likely recommendation is a suspension for Meyer. Drake and the board could also opt for a “time served” punishment since Meyer has been removed from football activities for more than two weeks," The Dispatch reported.

Stay tuned.
