On Wednesday afternoon, Kyler Murray and the Sooners showcased their skills in front of NFL scouts at Oklahoma’s pro day. Murray threw in front of scouts for the first time after choosing not to do so at the NFL combine a few weeks ago.
The star quarterback decided not to run the 40-yard dash at the pro day after making the same decision at the NFL combine. While some scouts might be unhappy with the move, Murray did enough in the throwing portion for NFL analysts to rave about his talent.
Scouts were very pleased with Murray’s performance on Wednesday afternoon. The reigning Heisman Trophy-winner proved why he has the potential to go No. 1 overall.
Here’s what a few scouts had to say about the former Oklahoma star.
I'm in NYC, not at the OU pro day, but texted with several scouts who are there and the reviews on Kyler Murray were all very positive. "A+" from one evaluator.

Leading up to the NFL combine, the Arizona Cardinals were linked to Murray with the No. 1 overall pick.
Following the combine, most mock drafts had Murray going No. 1 to the Cardinals as well. However, at Murray’s pro day on Wednesday, Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury was not in attendance.
While Kingsbury wasn’t there, the Cardinals did send representatives to watch Murray throw.
The former Oklahoma star is reportedly set to meet with the New York Giants on Wednesday night.
