NFL Team Cuts Former Big 10 Football Star

One of the best defensive Big Ten football players of the last decade has been waived by his NFL team.

Shilique Calhoun, a three-time first-team All-Big Ten player at Michigan State and a former All-American, has been waived by the Oakland Raiders.

The 26-year-old defensive lineman was taken in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Calhoun had been with the Raiders since the start of his career.

Calhoun has totaled 18 tackles and 0.5 sacks during his NFL career so far.
