Urban Meyer's Daughter Posts Heartfelt Note In Aftermath Of Ohio State's Investigation

Urban Meyer was suspended three games by Ohio State after the school's investigation into how he handled allegations of domestic violence against former wide receivers coach Zach Smith. As a result, he'll miss games against Oregon State, Rutgers and TCU.

But the main issue for Meyer isn't just that he's missing a few paychecks or sitting home watching a few of his team's games on television. Meyer's legacy, in the eyes of many, is forever tarnished. Whether that's fair or not depends on what you believe Meyer could or should have done in his situation.

Wednesday morning, Nicki Meyer Dennis, Urban's daughter, took to Instagram with another message for her followers. In it, she defends her father and praises those on social media who have reached out in a positive manner.

Here's what she had to say:

"These haters could only dream of being half the man he is. Social media has become a platform to spread hate and anger for so many. But there are MORE people that have sent love, prayers and encouragement. I have read almost all of them (still going through) and just hope you know it made a difference. It by far outweighed the hate, and for that I am so thankful. I didn’t get to respond to them all, but I read them and it warmed my soul even in the hardest moments. Thank you for reminding me there is so much more love than hate. It would have been easy to lose faith in people through this, but I haven’t! Love conquers all!!!! ??❤️❤️"

Here's the post:

Meyer's daughters - both Nicki and Gigi - have defended their father on social media throughout the affair.

Regardless, Ohio State will start its season without Meyer on the sidelines. If the Buckeyes can survive the first three games, they'll be a national title contender.
