Wisconsin basketball star Nigel Hayes has a message for the NCAA on College GameDay this morning.
Nigel Hayes, one of the best college basketball players in the nation, has been outspoken about the NCAA's stance on paying college athletes. Saturday morning, with ESPN's College GameDay in town, he used the show's presence to help make a statement on the matter.
Hayes, who also tweeted about the Big Ten's revenue numbers on Friday night, took a shot at the NCAA, calling himself a "broke" college athlete. He jokingly asked fans for money by putting his Venmo information.
Here's Hayes' post from Friday night.
Hayes is hardly the only college athlete to voice his opinion on the topic - but he might be the most passionate about the cause. We'll see how it all goes over.
