The rivalry runs deep between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Clemson Tigers. Recent history suggests the Tigers are in control of the series, with the past four games between the two teams being won by Clemson.

Bad blood runs deep. In the last contest, set in Columbia, SC., Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct after he complained that the South Carolina fans were throwing bottles and trash.

Clemson went on to win that game, and move its consecutive wins streak to four.

However, the Gamecocks just received the most-recent win.

The No. 1 college football recruit from the state of South Carolina announced his commitment.

He's headed to South Carolina, which he, naturally as a kid from South Carolina, picked over Clemson.

The recruiting battles between the Gamecocks and Tigers have been tight over the years, but count this one for Will Muschamp and company.

The addition of Zacchaeus Pickens vaulted the Gamecocks up to No. 7 on the 2019 recruiting rankings list, just three spots behind Clemson.
