It was a good weekend for Michigan, as the Wolverines blew out Western Michigan to earn their first victory of the 2018 college football season.

The start of this week is going well, too.

Giles Jackson, the No. 5 all-purpose back in the 2019 class, has announced his commitment. He's committing to Michigan.

The four-star recruit announced his commitment on Twitter.

This is a big pickup for Michigan. Jackson is ranked the No. 5 player at his position and the No. 45 overall recruit in the state of California.

The 5-foot-8 back chose Michigan over Florida, Oregon and USC, among other programs.
