Oklahoma’s quarterback is a cocky one, but he wasn’t able to fulfill this promise.
Early in the first half of the Rose Bowl, Georgia missed a field goal with Oklahoma leading, 14-7.
Shortly after the kick was missed, ESPN’s cameras panned to the Sooners’ sideline and focused in on Baker Mayfield.
The 2017 Heisman Trophy winner was seen galloping down the sideline making a throat-slashing gesture.
“It’s over,” he said.

Oklahoma would go on to go up, 31-14, before Georgia stormed back and won, 54-48, in overtime.
That “it’s over” clip is one surely to be shared a ton by Georgia fans (and Baker Mayfield haters, there are plenty) moving forward.
