Notre Dame four-star defensive back Derrik Allen announced this morning that he’s decided to move on from the Fighting Irish.
Allen, a top recruit coming out of high school in 2018, announced he’s transferring to Georgia Tech.
“For personal decisions I have made the very tough decision to transfer,” he wrote.
Allen announced his decision on Twitter.

Allen was ranked the No. 9 safety in the 2018 class by 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
The four-star recruit is a Marietta, Ga. native, so this transfer places him much closer to home.
Allen will likely have to sit out the 2019 season barring an NCAA waiver.
