Notre Dame is one win away from a 12-0 regular season and College Football Playoff berth. Tonight, the Irish picked up a major recruiting victory for 2019.

Roswell (Ga.) Blessed Trinity Catholic four-star linebacker J.D. Bertrand announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Twitter moments ago. He picked the Fighting Irish over Wisconsin, Colorado, Florida State and others.

Bertrand had previously been committed to Georgia from July 2017 until early last month, but he reopened his recruitment in October. He visited Notre Dame shortly after doing so.

"I am very excited to announce that I am committed to The University of Notre Dame!" Bertrand tweeted. "Thank you to everyone that has helped me along the way. Go Irish! #FightClub19."

Bertrand is rated the No. 17 outside linebacker in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. The Irish now have 21 verbal commits in 2019, 15 of which are four-star composite prospects.

Here is a look at the updated 2019 team recruiting rankings.
