Notre Dame Has Relieved Its Special Teams Coach Of His Duties

The Fighting Irish are looking for a new special teams coordinator.

Notre Dame is parting ways with its special teams coach.

Irish Illustrated reported today that Fighting Irish tight ends/special teams coordinator Scott Booker is out in South Bend, Ind.

From their report:

On the heels of reports that offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Mike Sanford has accepted the head-coaching position at Western Kentucky, Irish Illustrated has learned through multiple sources that Scott Booker has been relieved of his duties as Notre Dame’s tight ends coach and special teams coordinator.

Two sources told Irish Illustrated Monday night that Booker was informed of the decision earlier in the day.

Notre Dame will now have three new coordinators in 2017, as the Fighting Irish fired their defensive coordinator earlier this season and offensive coordinator Mike Sanford is leaving to become the head coach at Western Kentucky.
