A Member Of Ohio State's Marching Band Nailed A 55-Yard Field Goal, Will Get A Tryout For The Buckeyes

Ohio State's band members typically only see the field during halftime. One trumpet player may flip the script on that.

Wednesday morning, Ohio State's Marching Band Twitter account posted video of one of its members kicking a 55-yard field goal with ease in one of the team's practice facilities. The clip, which you can see below, is beyond impressive:

According to Eleven Warriors, the young man, Austin Brizee, is a second-year trumpet player, and he's never kicked before. Seriously. Assistant Director of Player Personnel Eron Hodges responded to the tweet, inviting him for a tryout.

Could Ohio State's future kicker be a former band member? It isn't that far-fetched.
