Ohio State's men's basketball program announced some big news for Wednesday night's game against Syracuse.

The Buckeyes, who will be hosting the Orange in an ACC-Big Ten Challenge game, will be welcoming back a legendary head coach.

Thad Matta, who led Ohio State's program from 2004-17, winning five Big Ten titles and reaching two Final Fours, will be honored at halftime.

Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann announced the news today.

"We look forward to welcoming back the Matta family and recognizing Coach Matta’s extraordinary accomplishments at Halftime of tomorrow nights game vs. Syracuse. Please join us in welcoming back Thad, Barb, Ali and Emily Matta," he announced.

That will be awesome. Hopefully Ohio State fans can show up in full force to thank Matta for everything he did for the program.
