Ohio State and Michigan are rivals on the football field, but also on the recruiting trail. The two schools regularly compete for the same prospects.
One player who was pursued heavily by both programs is current Ohio State running back Mike Weber. Weber originally verbally committed to Michigan the summer before his junior year of high school, but eventually flipped and signed with Ohio State.
Fans of both schools haven't forgotten about Weber's recruitment. Neither has he.
Weber tweeted today on the anniversary of his short-lived commitment to Michigan.
"Today four years ago I committed to TTUN .. crazy how tables turn," he wrote.
Weber rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2016 and has scored 19 rushing touchdowns the last two seasons combined. He's also found the end zone both times he's played against Michigan.
Wolverines fans can cheer on two pretty good backs in Karan Higdon and Chris Evans, but one has to wonder if they think about what could have been with Weber.
Stories like these are part of what makes this rivalry great.
