A Buckeye linebacker is sticking up for J.T. Barrett.
J.T. Barrett's "greatness" was questioned, somewhat, by one of Clemson's defensive backs on Tuesday.
Tigers safety Jadar Johnson said yesterday that Barrett will not be one of the better quarterbacks his defense has faced this season. Clemson does practice every day against Deshaun Watson, and played Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson, so is what he said that much of an insult? Maybe, maybe not.
Regardless, Barrett's teammates are sticking up for him.
Ohio State linebacker Chris Worley compared Barrett today to one of the NFL's best ever, Tom Brady.
Barrett is 26-3 as Ohio State's starting quarterback.
Ohio State and Clemson are set to kick off at 7 p.m. E.T. on Saturday night. The game will be televised on ESPN.
