Ohio State has a starting running back.
Urban Meyer announced tonight that redshirt freshman Mike Weber will start at tailback for the Buckeyes on Saturday.
Weber, a four-star recruit in the 2015 class, will replace Ezekiel Elliott, who left Columbus after the 2015 season. He’s now with the Dallas Cowboys.
He’ll likely share carries with Curtis Samuel, among other players.
Ohio State opens its season Saturday at noon against Bowling Green. The game will be televised on BTN.
