USC's Special Teams Coach Says Penn State Should've Been Called For Penalty On FG Block

Ohio State's kicker getting his kick blocked.

A field goal block helped Penn State upset No. 2 Ohio State in State College, Pa. Saturday night.

USC special teams coach John Baxter says Penn State should've been called for a penalty on the field goal block against Ohio State late in the fourth quarter on Saturday night.

Here's the block.

Baxter says: "The rules clearly state that no player aligned outside the line of scrimmage can jump to block a FG & land on another player."

Here's a longer look at the block.

It's unclear if the player, No. 2, did actually "land" on another player, but you can make an argument that he did violate one of the rules during that block.
