New documents regarding Ohio State's investigation into head coach Urban Meyer and his handling of domestic violence allegations against former assistant coach Zach Smith were released today.

The new documents don't appear to reveal any pertinent new information, but they do provide more context for everything that was going on.

You can view the full summary of the new release here.

Included in the new documents is an anonymous tip Ohio State received about Smith in August.

Here's the email Ohio State received:

Ohio State fired Zach Smith this past July.

Urban Meyer has received a three-game suspension as a result of the investigation. Athletic director Gene Smith received a two-week suspension.

Correction: An earlier version of this post said Ohio State received the anonymous tip in 2015. The tip was received in August 2018 but it concerned events in 2015.
