Ohio State vs. Nebraska preview:
The Buckeyes are coming off of three consecutive games decided by seven points or fewer. One of those games was a loss to Penn State and the latest was a close win over a middling Northwestern team. Ohio State has been struggling the past few weeks, both offensively and defensively and it won’t get any easier against a good Nebraska team.
Nebraska is coming off of its first loss of the season, an overtime game against No. 11 Wisconsin. There were questions about how good the Cornhuskers actually were entering the game against the Badgers. Nebraska showed it belongs to be in the top 10 with a close loss.
The Buckeyes and Cornhuskers have played four times in history, with the Buckeyes holding a 3-1 advantage.
Ohio State vs. Nebraska prediction:
Ohio State showed that it has some weaknesses in a loss to Penn State two weeks ago, and its struggles continued against Northwestern. The Buckeyes gave up over 400 yards of offense to the Wildcats, and they will need to sharpen up if they want to beat Nebraska.
The Buckeyes have more depth across the board, but this game depends on which team wants to keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive more. Urban Meyer will have the Buckeyes ready for a stiff challenge from the Cornhuskers.
