Ohio State vs. Penn State preview:
The Buckeyes enter the contest fresh off of a 30-23 overtime win at Wisconsin last week. J.T. Barrett went 17-for-29 through the air for 226 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also ran the ball 21 times for 92 yards and two scores. Curtis Samuel was Barrett's favorite target as he hauled in six catches for 58 yards.
Penn State enjoyed a bye week last week and are winners of their last two games as they topped Minnesota and Maryland. Quarterback Trace McSorley went 10-for-19 against the Terrapins two weeks ago for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Saquon Barkely was Penn State's workhorse as he had 31 carries and ran for 202 yards and a score.
This will be the 32nd meeting between the two schools and the Buckeyes lead the all-time series with a record of 17-13. The Buckeyes have won four straight against the Nittany Lions.
Ohio State vs. Penn State Prediction
The Buckeyes look like a clear-cut top two team in the nation and Penn State hasn't looked anywhere close to that at any point this season. Barrett and the Ohio State defense is going to be far too much for the Nittany Lions to handle.
The Nittany Lions' two-game winning streak comes to an end on Saturday as the Buckeyes take care of business on the road. Nevertheless, this game will be closer than what the spread is suggesting.
