The Buckeyes' defensive lineman is not happy.

Ohio State is not going to the College Football Playoff this year.

The 11-2, Big Ten champion Buckeyes came in at No. 5 in the selection committee's final rankings, as the No. 4 spot went to Alabama.

Ohio State's players, unsurprisingly, are not happy.

Buckeyes' defensive lineman Tracy Sprinkle says the "best team" in the country got left out.

"I know it’s not our place to say anything about these selections. But something gotta change with this. The best team in the country just got left out of proving itself to the world," he wrote on Twitter.

It's understandable for Ohio State's players to be upset. They're coming off a win against a previously-undefeated Wisconsin team and they won their conference.

But the Buckeyes have hardly looked like the country's best team, having lost to Iowa in blowout fashion and by a decent margin to Oklahoma.

Ohio State's players can really only blame themselves, though an 11-2 season with a New Year's Six bowl game berth is nothing to be too disappointed about.
