Earlier this season, one of the best rivalries in college football lived up to the hype. Oklahoma and Texas met in the Red River Rivalry and it delivered on every front imaginable.
Texas held a 45-24 lead going into the fourth quarter before Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray led Oklahoma to a 45-45 tie with just over two minutes left on the clock. Unfortunately for the Sooners, Texas kicker Cameron Dicker hit a 40-yard field goal in the final second to deliver a win for the Longhorns.
Lucky for us, these two teams will meet again in the Big 12 title game after Oklahoma took down West Virginia on Friday night.
Ahead of the matchup, Texas star Breckyn Hager called out the Oklahoma defense. It didn't take long for Sooners linebacker Curtis Bolton to fire back.
"Blows my mind. We hung 50 (45) on them too. If anyone on their defense has anything to say, they can have fun playing Kyler next week."
Bolton is, of course, referring to star quarterback Kyler Murray who racked up 396 total yards and five touchdowns against Texas in their first meeting.
Who will win round 2? Stay tuned.
