Oklahoma Survives Upset Bid Thanks To Awful UCF 2-Point Play
Oklahoma moved to 7-0 with a win over unranked UCF on Saturday, but the victory was anything but easy.
The Knights were with the Sooners all game long, scoring a late touchdown to get within two points of tying the game with less than two minutes to go.
For some reason, UCF went with a double pass on the two-point conversion attempt, and the Sooners were not fooled by the trick play. The running back was tackled near the sideline, ending UCF's upset hopes.
Oklahoma is now 7-0, and they will likely be on the field in December for the Big 12 championship game.
They don't have any more ranked teams on their schedule, but they will face a previously ranked Kansas team next week in Lawrence.
All signs are pointing to a rematch of the thrilling Red River Rivalry game in the conference championship, as Texas looks unlikely to lose for the rest of the regular season.
The Longhorns would need help to make the College Football Playoff with one loss, but they can definitely play spoiler if they're able to get a win over their undefeated rival in the rematch.
At 3-4, UCF will need to win three of its remaining five games in order to be bowl-eligible this season.
