Report: Oregon To Start Justin Herbert Saturday Against Washington

The Oregon Ducks find themselves on a three-game losing streak and will reportedly make a change at quarterback.

Oregon has struggled mightily this season as they have now dropped three straight games with their most recent loss coming at Washington State. Graduate transfer Dakota Prukop has started all five of their games this season but it sounds as if Justin Herbert will be tossed into the mix this Saturday against Washington.

According to Justin Hopkins of 247 Sports, the Ducks are expected to start Herbert on Saturday but both he and Prukop have continued to take reps with the first team. Herbert is a 6-foot-6 true freshman from Eugene, Ore.

Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich addressed the media on Tuesday and said "everywhere across the board there is competition" as well as "we're making adjustments everywhere."

Prukop has gone 92-for-139 for 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns through the air this season. Herbert's first action of the year came late against Washington State last week as he went 3-for-5 for 70 yards and a touchdown run.

The Ducks have a huge test this Saturday as Washington comes to town. Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m. E.T. and can be seen on FOX.
