Oregon's football program notched its biggest win of the season over the weekend, taking down Washington, but the Ducks have suffered a huge loss this week.

Penei Sewell, Oregon's star left tackle, is going to miss a significant period of time, according to a report by 247Sports.

The offensive lineman suffered an ankle injury during the win over Washington.

Oregon football will be without one of their best offensive players for a significant time.

Oregon has announced freshman left tackle Penei Sewell is out for the next six weeks with an ankle injury suffered against the Washington Huskies.

“Penei is a relentless competitor and I have no doubt he’ll return better than ever,” said Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal.

The true freshman offensive tackle looks like a future top 10 NFL Draft pick. He's already developed into one of the top offensive tackles in the country.

Oregon will miss him greatly this weekend, as the Ducks travel to Washington State.
