Oregon vs. Cal preview:

Oregon started the season with two wins, but after four straight losses, the Duck's season has quickly spiraled out of control. It doesn't get any more embarrassing than the Ducks devastating 70-21 loss at the hands of the Washington Huskies. Oregon had an extra week to get ready for Cal with a Week 7 bye, and needs a win to have a chance at a bowl berth.

Cal has had an up and down season, evidenced by its tendency to follow up a with with a loss. The Bears won their opener against Hawaii, and then dropped a contest to San Diego State. Won against No. 11 Texas, and then lost to Arizona State. Beat No. 18 Utah, and then suffered their third defeat against Oregon State. Cal's inconsistency this season has been its undoing.

Oregon and Cal have played 79 times in history, with the Bears owning a 40-37-2 advantage.

Oregon vs. Cal prediction:

Neither team has been good this season. Oregon has been especially disappointing, and are in danger of not making a bowl game. Cal has one of the worst rush defenses in the country, while the Ducks gain a majority of their yards on the ground.

Cal's passing attack has been leathal this season, and Oregon's defense is suspect at best. Quarterback Davis Webb will be in for a huge night against the Duck's defense.

This will be an offensive shootout, and not a lot of defense will be played.
