Report: Oregon's Mark Helfrich Has No Idea What His Job Status Is At The Moment

Mark Helfrich doesn't really know his job status at the moment.

Oregon finished the year 4-8 and with that there have been plenty of rumors swirling about head coach Mark Helfrich and his future with the Ducks.

According to Andrew Greif of The Oregonian, Helfrich reached out to Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens asking for a face-to-face meeting following the Ducks' regular season finale on Saturday. Mullens had to decline due to his current traveling schedule; he is headed to Dallas as he has a responsibility with the College Football Playoff committee.

With that, Helfrich has no idea what his job status is at the moment.

Helfrich had this to say to The Oregonian:

"I think it's not ideal," Helfrich said. "Timing of these things, again, that's partly on me that we're in this situation, but it's less than ideal."

"... I asked if we could meet today and it just didn't work out."

Oregon lost to rival Oregon State on Saturday for the first time since 2007.
