The ESPN college football analyst is calling on Nick Saban to lay down a suspension.
Paul Finebaum is calling for Nick Saban to suspend one of his players after their arrest.
Da'Shawn Hand, a senior defensive lineman and former five-star recruit, was arrested on DUI charges earlier this weekend.
Saban released a statement, saying the program will evaluate all the information before making a decision.
"This type of behavior is not acceptable and we are disappointed in Da'Shawn’s actions," Saban said. "We are still gathering information and will evaluate what we need to do in terms of appropriate discipline as we move forward, so better choices and decisions can be made in the future."
Finebaum appeared on SportsCenter Sunday and said that's not good enough. He's calling for Hand to be suspended at least one game.
"I think he's been soft on discipline," Finebaum said. "This is a very serious allegation...this close to training camp, this close to the regular season, I think this should be an automatic one-game suspension at the minimum."
