Week 9 of the 2019 college football season kicked off on Thursday night as SMU stayed undefeated with a win over Houston. USC followed that up with a comeback win over Colorado on Friday night to lead us into Saturday's full slate of game.

The favorites won the first two games of the weekend, other teams might not be so lucky. A few huge games fill the Saturday slate, but only one was put on Upset Alert by an ESPN analyst.

College football analyst Paul Finebaum has one top team on "upset alert" heading into this afternoon.

Finebaum thinks the Penn State Nittany Lions need to be careful with Michigan State.

"I like Michigan State. They're taking on a Penn State team that just had to play Michigan."

Finebaum mentioned that the betting line continues to move in the Spartans favor, meaning he's not alone in his pick.

Michigan State has won the last two games between these programs and need a statement win to improve on a subpar season.

The Nittany Lions and Spartans kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
