Paul Finebaum Names The 'Most Disappointing' Team So Far

Paul Finebaum makes comments about roy Williams.

Through four weeks of the college football season, there are a number of Power 5 programs struggling mightily. Nebraska is one of them.

Everyone knew that Year One of the Scott Frost era was going to have its rough spots. Frost hasn't had a chance to recruit in earnest, the Huskers have a tough schedule and their season opener was cancelled due to inclement weather. Those are tough circumstances all around.

Still, seeing Nebraska sitting at 0-3 after being destroyed by Michigan is noteworthy. This morning, ESPN's Paul Finebaum dubbed the Huskers his most disappointing team in September.

Finebaum made this declaration during a Wednesday morning appearance on Get Up!.

Here's what he had to say, via 247Sports:

"On a long list of people, I would go with Nebraska," Finebaum said. "You expected more. Scott Frost, the prodigal son, he won a championship there and was the hottest coach in the offseason, but that team has just been a disaster. Every week, he says, 'we're going to learn from this.' What are you going to learn? Your team is terrible and that's not entirely on him, but he has to show something.

"He has capital though. Some of the other coaches around college football who are O-fer for the season, do not."

Things aren't going to get any easier for Nebraska. The Huskers travel to Purdue this weekend, and the Boilermakers may have found themselves after their own 0-3 start, as they are coming off a big win over Boston College.

After Purdue, Nebraska hosts No. 15 Wisconsin and Northwestern and travels to Minnesota. The odds tell us they will win one or two of those games, but an 0-7 start isn't out of the question.
