Paul Finebaum Thinks It's Only A Matter Of Time Before Butch Jones Is Out

The ESPN college football analyst thinks Jones' fate is sealed.

Tennessee lost again on Saturday, as the Volunteers fell to South Carolina at home, 15-9.

Butch Jones entered the game with maybe the hottest seat in the country. It's now gotten so hot that he has to be getting burned.

Paul Finebaum seems to agree.

The ESPN college football analyst said on SportsCenter this morning that he has to be on his way out.

“They had three field goals compared to the previous games,” Finebaum said, per 247Sports. “I think that’s a step forward. Right now, if you’re a Tennessee fan, you’re punching your phone every two seconds to see if Butch Jones has been fired. The rumor mill is turning. They’re a 35-point underdog Saturday to Alabama.”

According to the sportsbooks, Chip Kelly is the betting favorite to take over as Tennessee's head coach.

The Volunteers are set to play at Alabama on Saturday.
