Penn State Fans Are Freaking Out About The Rumored Officiating Crew For Saturday

The Nittany Lions’ fan base is not a fan of this crew.

The Big Ten has yet to announce the officiating crew for Saturday afternoon’s Ohio State-Penn State game.

However, it’s believed that the crew will be that of John O’Neil’s. His crew has been responsible for some questionable calls in Penn State’s Big Ten games in recent years.

Like this one:

And this:

John O’Neill officiated the Penn State/Iowa game this season and 37% of Penn State’s penalty yards this season came in that game.

And this:

Ohio State football team squeaks by Penn State with plenty of help from officials

Now, every fan base thinks the refs are out to get their team, but the disdain for John O’Neil’s officiating crews seems to be on another level for Penn State fans. Michigan fans don’t seem to be too fond of him, either.

The fact that O’Neil is rumored to be leading Saturday afternoon’s officiating crew already has Penn State fans thinking something bad is coming.

Fire John O’Neil. Unsurprisingly, he’s calling the biggest game of the year AGAIN for PSU. #FireJohnOneil

If John O'Neil is really calling the PSU game Saturday then we need to flat out leave the Big Ten immediately.

Oh great John O’Neil (infamous for missed calls in 2014 OSU game) is the PSU v OSU ref again ??‍♂️ Thanks @bigten you’re not funny or subtle

Wait wait wait. This has to be a joke. Is the @bigten really sending John O'Neil's crew to Columbus? No one has screwed @PennStateFball more
