The 2018 college football season will begin in two and a half months. We can't wait.

This time of the offseason is full of predictions. Whether it is top 25s, conference forecasts or playoff picks, now is the time when experts give their thoughts on the upcoming season.

Phil Steele's annual college football preview is out. You can order it here.

Steele is known for his thorough analysis of each team. After sorting through everything this preseason, he's made his playoff picks.

Steele is picking Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Washington to reach the playoff. If that sounds familiar, it should.

That was the exact playoff field two years ago, when Clemson thumped OSU and Alabama topped Washington before the Tigers beat the Tide in a thrilling championship game.

Steele isn't going too far out on a limb with his foursome. Those four teams are going to be popular picks this year.

Do you agree with his picks?
