Appalachian State broke onto the national college football scene in a big way in 2007 when the FCS Mountaineers knocked off No. 5 Michigan in the Big House, 34-32. App State is making the move the the FBS level this season, and appropriately open things up in Ann Arbor against the Wolverines once again. Running backs coach Chris Foster revealed on Twitter that the Mountaineers will be breaking into football's highest division in style with new jerseys for the 2014 season.

Appalachian State faces Michigan on August 30, and opens up the home slate with Campbell on September 6. The Mountaineers play in the Sun Belt Conference this season.
