A photo of a fan at tonight’s Oregon-Stanford game at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore. is going viral on social media. It’s easy to see why.
Oregon, a home underdog against No. 7 Stanford tonight, played brilliantly for about three quarters. The Ducks gave some points away late, but appeared to be in line for a huge victory with less than a minute to go.
The No. 20-ranked Ducks had the ball with under a minute left and needed to just run a couple of plays to run the clock out. Oregon’s running back fumbled, though, and the Cardinal recovered.
Stanford went on to drive the ball into Oregon’s territory. A game-tying field goal was made as time expired in the fourth quarter.
Now we’re tied, 31-31, heading into overtime.
The game is on ABC.
